For LDS Bishops helping Distressed Couples
30 minute in-person or online training for LDS Bishops with time to ask questions after. This training is designed to help Bishops be prepared for distressed couples who may seek them out in a time of difficulty: betrayal, disclosure, possible divorce, or loss of love...
This training provides both personal and professional insights from BeckyLynn Spotten, Clinical Mental Health Counselor, and owner of the Peak Wellness Group. You will learn more of her story having worked with 6 different Bishops over 16 years. In 2014, in the middle of her own marriage struggles, BeckyLynn returned to graduate school for a Master's in Professional Couseling, completed many additional trainings/certifications. She is currently on the path to become a Certified Emotionally Focused Counselor. She credits the EFT attachment model for helping her find happiness in her second marriage, blend family dynamics, and remain active in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She wants to give back to the many hours compassionate Bishops served her and her former husband by providing support and training to leaders volunteering their time in the church today.
This is a private page for Bishops, Stake Presidents, and those who do not get paid to help distressed members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The best way to share it is by downloading the virtual business card for bishops (QR link), couples in distress has a QR link to a page for them, and please let us know how we can help.
