Personal Background: 
Hello! My name is BeckyLynn; I am an adventurer, photographer/artist who changed careers in my thirties to become a Clinical Mental Health Counselor. (You can see some of my art here.) I was born in Logan (Cache Valley) and grew up in rural Idaho. I have lived in 6  Western States and am most at home in the Mountains. I am deeply spiritual and love to connect with God in nature. I love, respect, and honor my client's beliefs and diverse racial, cultural, and religious backgrounds.  I understand the common cultural challenges women face in our region, but I have lived in other locations/cultures, which has given me a big-picture perspective. I love to travel and learn about world cultures and different world views. My experience has taught me that no matter how perfect someone's life appears on the outside, there are often hidden heartaches that you do not see and challenges they do not share.  I am no different.  I am personally familiar with the devastation and healing process that comes with divorce and remarriage, as I experienced it as a teenager with my parents and as an adult with my two daughters. However, through my journey to becoming a trained EFT therapist, I have learned how sweet the joy of secure attachment feels and how it can empower you to reach dreams you never thought possible. As a high achiever, I am passionate about building a business and a career, but I cannot pass up a good adventure with my friends and loved ones. My love language sounds like this: "Do you want to go on a hike?"

  • Extensive training and supervision in Emotionally Focused Therapy  (EFT). Currently working towards Certification. Attachment based non-pathological therapy model designed to create a safe space for learning, connecting, and bonding with loved ones.
  • Certified Meditation Instructor  Meditation and Mindfulness practices change the structure of the brain long term. (Certification is through the American Institute of healthcare professionals.)
  • HeartMath Certified Practitioner HRV or Heart Rate Variability is a great Bio feedback tool to learn to calm the mind and body during distress and learn to reset the body responses to future stress.   
  • Trained in EMDR is Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing.  This process engages the whole brain both right and left sides to calm, enhance, and build new perspectives. It is effective for trauma, anxiety, depression, and triggering memories.
  • Art/Nature Based Eco-Psychology The power of connecting with our earth and to our emotions through art helps heal the mind and soul in different ways than traditional talk therapy. Using nature to process and regulate emotions helps the brain heal.
  • Integrative mental health professional. Integrated holistic practices with a focus on mental health issues. Clients learn more about their options and make informed decisions about how they nourish their mind, body, and souls.
